CENTERFIRE VARMINT RIFLE MATCH

COURSE
OF FIRE
All
firing at 200 meters from a bench
using fore-end support, rear support optional. Match
is 40 rounds plus sighters. Time
limit is 45 minutes to shoot Stages 1, 2 & 3.
STAGE 1:
10 shots slow fire at a 5-bull IBS-H/2 Hunter 200-yd target.
This target has a sighting bull which can be used at any time, unlimited number
of sighting shots.
STAGE
2: 10
shots at a life-size Woodchuck profile target. No sighters.
STAGE
3: 10
shots slow fire – same as Stage 1.
STAGE 4: Fire 1 shot at 10
bobbing prairie dog targets which are displayed in random order. Each shot is
taken as the target is exposed for 3 seconds. You have 10 seconds to reload and
prepare for the next shot.

All youth shooters MUST have an adult (18 years or older) with
them while they are shooting or handling a firearm.
4 Any muzzle break which causes discomfort or emits gases towards
other competitors is disallowed.
4 Shooter may only change rifle during the match if the rifle has
been declared disabled by the Range Officer.

VARMINT Stock rifle
(excludes BR & PPC), any scope, front rest and rear bag rest with
no guiding means,
magazine or single shot.
2. Unlimited
Any bench rest rifle and bench rest caliber, any scope, any rest.

Cash
prizes
will be
awarded. There must be at least 2 shooters in a class for a prize to be awarded.
Unlimited and Varmint Classes will not be combined.

Custer members $15, non-members $18.
Cash prizes will be awarded. There must be at least 2 shooters in a class
for a prize to be awarded.
RIMFIRE VARMINT MATCHES
50 rounds, NO
sighters, shot in 25 minutes. Any
rimfire caliber, any scope, firing at 75 yards for .17 caliber and 50 yards for
.22 caliber, from a bench using fore-end support, rear support optional.
Only Standard Rests are allowed - see rest rules listed for the Varmint
Fun Matches. If there are 2 or more
juniors (under 18), they will have their own class, but will also be eligible
for Match Winner. There must be at
least 2 shooters for a prize to be awarded.
Match will commence approximately 30 minutes after the Varmint Fun Match.

Fee Custer members $5, non-members $8.
Scoring Only
the range officer will use an overlay to determine a shot value.
General
Info Eye & ear protection is mandatory. Bring your
own lunch. Drinking water and restrooms available. RV hookups (water/elec)
available for overnight camping, first come/first served.
Covered firing line and pits, so match will go rain or shine. Bring
a staple gun and pen or pencil for scoring.
